About the role
In this role, you'll join an Agile Scrum team responsible for building and working on applications within software products. The Software Tester will participate in all areas of development including requirement gathering, solution proposal and testing in collaboration with the team, with a main focus on creating, updating and executing tests which are affected by that work.
Role and Responsibilities:
Work within an Agile Scrum team to test, and maintain web and desktop-based applications.
Aid in gathering and documenting requirements in the form of Agile Epics, User Stories, and tasks.
Develop, update, and perform manual and automated tests for applications according to company standards
Facilitates or perform random testing of all components to ensure software quality
Tasks carried out within authorized guidelines requiring conformity with overall department objectives, relative priorities and necessary cooperation with others within the department.
Contribute to the delivery of work programs through the verification and validation activities.
Make original contribution or apply new approaches and techniques to the verification and validation of the software applications.
Demonstrates company’s values and develop others to become consistent practitioners of the company’s Toolbox.
Participation in peer reviews as required.
Communicate with all members of the software team as required.
Interact with the product management team members to ensure quality outcomes.
Actively applies the company’s Toolbox in all aspects of role
Leads and/or participates in toolbox initiatives where appropriate with a particular focus on PLS as it applies to software development
Actively seek and take advantage of internal training opportunities
Experience and Skills Requirements:
Experience within the building construction industry desirable
Understanding of Test Methodologies and when to apply them
Ability to understand and document processes and procedures
Ability to work autonomously and within a team to produce quality results to a defined schedule.
Ability to communicate information clearly, both verbal and in written form.
The right to work in Australia.
