The role requires you to be technical, projects & customer champion. You should be able to speak the customer's language as your own and deliver technical solutions inline with the solution design.

The (Senior) Project Engineer will be highest escalation point implementation engineers in the team. You will work within a team demonstrating their proven technical, project delivery and superior customer service skills. It is important that the Senior Project Engineer remains productive and completes jobs within their allocated budget, to a high level of quality which is expected by the clients.

Job tasks and responsibilities
You will be dealing with projects/solutions such as:
On-premise services – deploying all onsite infrastructure solutions and devices
Cloud Services – Primarily Microsoft Azure, Office 365 and proven exp. on migration projects essential
Delivering infrastructure projects autonomously and/or within a team (Active Directory and Exchange Server upgrades and deployments, Archiving, SAN deployments, VMware upgrades and deployments, Veeam, Anti-Virus, Site relocations, cloud migrations, server migrations, Office365 migrations, Azure migration etc)Â
Networking – ADSL, Fibre Network turn ups and troubleshooting, LAN Cabling, VLAN's, WLAN, SD-WAN, MPLSÂ
Security – Firewall such as CISCO Meraki, SonicWall, etc
Ensure that all internal and external stakeholders are kept up to date with the status of deliverables and disruptions at all times before, during and after a job until relevant signoff has been achieved.
Maintain a consistent high standard of professional interaction both over the phone, on email or face to face with clients.
Ensure that billable jobs are completed within budget and that any potential overruns are communicated to your manager/clients as soon as they are identified.
You might also be occasionally required to high level IT issues escalated by helpdesk in a timely and professional manner
Identify and contribute ideas to increase the overall team efficiencies and reduce client reactive noise (tickets per endpoint & reactive hours per endpoint) - Validating and assisting in the maintenance of the client’s risk and issues registers
Provide leadership and mentoring to junior members of the team by looking for opportunities to encourage and build othersÂ

Education & Experience Requirements:
Excellent client service skills, communication skills and documentation skillset
At-least 5+ years' projects experience in a MSP environment deploying infrastructure solutions (Systems, Cloud, Storage, Virtualisation, Backup, Network)Â
Experience in multi-server, multi-site, multi-domain environments Â
Ability to handle client discussions & solutions
Project Management skills/experience shall be looked upon favourably
Tertiary qualification and relevant industry certifications MCITP, MCSE, VCP, CCNA, Datto
Strong Experience (and preferably certifications) in VMware, Microsoft Server Suite of products. Â
Must have a full Driver's License and their own car to attend client sitesÂ
Knowledge of ConnectWise (PSA) preferably
