The primary responsibility for the role of Service Desk Engineer is to
provide Level 1 and Level 2 technical support for clients. Our support will
include Mobile support (training provided) and desktop/systems support (expect
some experience in this area).
Key responsibilities for this role:
Triage and resolve level 1 and 2 technical support requests
via phone, email, onsite or through remote tools in a customer focused
manner.
Ensures timely resolution or escalation of incidents, and promptly
communicate on progress to end-users.
Log requests correctly into the PSA with appropriate parameters and
with detail.
Log time spent on tickets correctly into the PSA.
Update and maintain the knowledge base diligently.
Provide after hours on call support as needed.
Attend client sites and provide face to face support if/when
required.
Key requirements for this role:
1-2 years’ experience working on a service desk.
Experience working for an MSP is ideal.
Industry specific certifications is preferrable (e.g. Microsoft,
Azure etc)
We are looking for someone with the following skill set:
Across the board intermediate knowledge of various technologies
including but not limited to:
Active Directory
Microsoft Exchange
Microsoft Office 365
SharePoint
Windows Desktop
Microsoft Product Stack (Windows Server, AD, DFS, DHCP, DNS, etc)
Troubleshooting of systems from hardware level up (workstations,
network devices,
storage)
Endpoint Security (e.g.: Webroot or Sophos or Microsoft Defender)
Knowledge of Wired/Wireless Networking (e.g., Switches, Access
Points, etc)
Must be Aus Citizen or PR
Additionally any experience in Microsoft Intune or VMWare Workspace
One (iOS/Android) would be preferable but not required. We will provide
complete training on these platforms and all other platforms in use by
Solve.
