an established MSP and MSSP company. The company provides managed services to
the clients and replaces the internal IT department for its clients. The
organization is very structured in its approach and thus is very customer
satisfaction oriented.
About the role
This is a key role you will see you design
and price technical solutions to meet client’s requirement whilst proactively
identifying technology opportunities & new product offering for end client to
help our client achieve their revenue business goals.
The Design
Desk Engineer is a critical role within our Managed Service Provider (MSP)
organization, responsible for the research, design, and proposal development of
technology solutions for our clients. This role works closely with the vCIO
(Virtual Chief Information Officer) and Technology Alignment Manager (TAM) to
translate client needs and strategic objectives into detailed project proposals
Role and
Responsibilities:
The
Pre-Sales Solutions Consultant has direct responsibility for the solution
proposed and excellence of advice provided.
·Exceptional communication and presentation
skills and ability to confidently present and negotiate solutions and
value propositions, analyse a range of situations and respond effectively
·Translate business requirements
(discovered in client workshops or as provided by Account Managers) into IT solutions
across technologies including but not limited to cloud, network, security, Microsoft
365, Co-Pilot agents, Power BI, SharePoint, On-Prem, Back-up, etc
·Design, price and scope solutions in
conjunction with the professional services team
·Get Account Managers/Sales team buyin
that the solution delivers on client’s objectives
·Get Professional Services buy-in that
the solution is technically deliverable and can be delivered on-time, in-budget
·Get vendors buy-in to ensure that the
solution is delivered by the vendor product used
·Write proposals and respond to
information requests (RFP/RFQ etc.)
·Prepare and present targeted C-Level
presentations
·Nurture technical pre-sales
relationships with our partners (vendors, suppliers and contractors) leverage
their expertise for opportunities
·Research changes in vendor and
competitor products and services and help providing new, latest tech and
innovative solutions to the customer
Experience
and Skills Requirements:
·Must have outstanding communications
skills and customer service skills for both over the phone and in-person
·Ability to design and price infrastructure solutions
across cloud, network, security, Microsoft 365, Co-Pilot agents, Power BI, SharePoint
etc
·Keen interest in keeping abreast of
current and emerging technologies and incorporating new technologies in the
MSP’s solution stack
·Exceptional excellent
communication and solution and proposal presentation skills
·MUST HAVE Previous experience in
client facing roles such as Pre-sales Consultant, Technical Account Manager or Projects
Engineer and Business Development in a MSP (Managed Services) environment
·MUST HAVE experience designing and
pricing solutions
·Technical problem solving, solution
design, solution sales, solution pricing experience in Cloud, Network, Server,
Security for SMB clients
·Tertiary education, ideally a
university bachelors’ degree (in any field)
·A valid driver's license
·The right to work in Australia.
