Internal IT Manager role in Melbourne’s Western Suburb

Our client is an international manufacturing company with head office in Israel and around 50 users in Australia.
About the role
As IT Manager, you will be the main point of contact and subject matter expert in all system and software solutions.
You shall be the only local IT person in Australia for the organisation. You will liaison with Head Office in Israel to ensure that IT compliance in line with the Global vision and liaison with Global Service Desk in India to address any user issues.
Responsibilities
Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, you will be responsible for:
Main point of contact for solving and investigating user, local system, infrastructure and network problems
Coordinate and Liaison with Head Office (Israel) for compliance and Global Service Desk (India) for end user issues and application support
Manage and monitor Australia’ IT and communications resources consistent with local and group business objectives.
Identify opportunities for innovative solutions including both new technology as well as new applications for existing technology and take CFO’s and Head Office’s approvals for implementation
Provide local expertise on regulatory matters and best practice
Prepare and manage IT budget and address procurement needs through an already established Global vendor agreement
Develop new documentation and update existing processes for ticket resolution (NetIT) with a focus on promoting the ITIL – You will be champion to push incident & problem / ITIL process for IT in the organisation
Develop, implement and maintain IT policies, procedures and disaster recovery plan(s)
Project manage IT initiatives including the planning, tracking and execution phases
Clearly articulate the “responsibilities boundaries” – establish and ensure approval processes for change

Head Office’s Corporate Responsibility (Network, Security & Infrastructure)

Back-up requirements defination

Local users support (Windows 10, Printing, Office 365, etc.…)
Monitoring infrastructure, network, applications
Servers/Printers/Phone/Video Conference Hardware maintenance and support
Checking the viability of server back-ups
Servers Virtual Platform support
Firewall support
Be the hands on ground for the Head office’s corporate team
Proactively identify improvements
Have a bird’s eye view on AU IT and provide guidance to CFO and Head office corporate team
Identify local risks and opportunities
Plan procurement and procurement hardware from approved vendors
Assist CFO in budgeting Australia's IT
Experience and Qualification: You MUST have:
Tertiary qualification in IT or related field
Advanced knowledge of computing software and equipment, general knowledge of computing network, database, programming logic, data modelling and processes.
