About the Role

The Senior Projects & Cloud Engineer will be highest escalation point implementation engineers in the team. You will work within a team demonstrating their proven technical, project delivery and superior customer service skills.

Job tasks and responsibilities

• Delivering zero downtime deployments, and immutable infrastructure principles
  • Cloud projects and solutions delivery experience and knowledge:
  • Hands on implementation experience of cloud projects (MS Azure and the suite of O365 services not limited to Email migrations, SharePoint online, OneDrive, Teams, PowerBi, Dynamics 365, Modern Workplace.)
  • Hands-on, in-depth, working knowledge of Azure, AWS and Office 365.
  • Solid understanding of AWS/Azure best practices such as those articulated within the AWS/Azure Framework, and in particular cloud security practices.
  • Tenancy creation, management of MS Azure subscriptions and resources
• Delivering/Deploy/Configure/Install other on-premise and/or cloud infrastructure projects/solutions autonomously and/or within a team such as:
  • Virtualisation technologies such as Hyper-V & VMware including clusters and storage arrays.
  • Microsoft's core SME business applications, operating systems (including Office 365), printing and server/network environments
  • Virtual machines (VMs), configure and manage virtual networks, and manage identities
  • Windows (All current flavours), Active Directory, GP, Terminal Server, Citrix, and SAN's
  • Networking infrastructure such as Firewalls, Switches, Routers, WAP's, LAN, WAN, Load Balancing, WLAN, SD-WAN, QoS, VPN, Voice, & Web Application Scanning
  • Security – Firewall such as CISCO Meraki, SonicWall, etc
  • Backup – configuring Veeam, Datto, cloud backup solutions
• Ensure that all internal and external stakeholders are kept up to date with the status of deliverables and disruptions at all times before, during and after a job until relevant signoff has been achieved.
• Maintain a consistent high standard of professional interaction both over the phone, on email or face to face with clients and Ensure that billable jobs are completed within budget
• Provide leadership and mentoring to junior members of the team by looking for opportunities to encourage and build others

 Experience:

• Extensive experience in working with Public Cloud services
• Coding experience is key to success within this role, and PowerShell skills will be looked upon favourably
• At-least 8+ years' projects experience in a MSP environment deploying infrastructure solutions especially cloud and modern workspace technologies
• Good all rounded experience across Systems, Cloud, Storage, Virtualisation, Backup, Network
• Experience in multi-server, multi-site, multi-domain environments  
• Excellent client service skills, communication skills and documentation skills
• Intermediate to Advanced knowledge of SonicWALL, Cisco and/or Meraki firewalls
• Intune deployment experience is an advantage
• Project Management skills/experience shall be looked upon favourably

Qualification:

• Tertiary qualification and relevant industry certifications Azure, M365, MCITP, MCSE, VCP, CCNA, Datto, VMWare
• Strong Experience (and preferably certifications) in VMware, Microsoft Server Suite of products.  
• Must have a full Driver's License and their own car to attend client sites 
• Knowledge of ConnectWise (PSA) preferably

• Strong self-management and organisational skills
