About the Business
Our client is a software company that was founded in 1999. Since then, the company has helped some of the largest companies in the world with their Supply Chain issues. 
The company is a small team of less than 5 people spread across the globe however the team solves supply chain related challenge for larger Enterprise clients. Our client is an IBM partner and is working in partnership with IBM to service the clients.

About the Role 
As a Support Engineer you will be well versed in Unix and Excel. You will be required to communicate with clients daily. You will be part of a small, professional team. You will be eager to learn from the team and teach your skills to the team.
In the role you will work with large Global 1000 companies and get an inside look into how their supply chains operate.

Responsibilities
•    Resolving technical BAU issues faced by end users
•    Helping resolve file transfer issues / FTP issues related to data transfer among other systems
•    Identify data related issues faced by end users
•    Identify technical issues and work with senior developers to help with enhancements
•    Create data excels and identify data related errors
•    Make data corrections in DB and Files for smooth processing of the supply chain transactions / records

Experience/Skills  
•    Comfortable working with UNIX scripting
•    Familiarity using curl or similar tools to test and query REST APIs
•    JSON is so native to you; you order from restaurants in JSON
•    Well versed in Excel.
•    Experience with NoSQL databases. CouchDB would be a plus.
•    Experience with Apache Tomcat would be desirable.
 
What is on offer
•    A commencing salary of $80-100K plus 10% superannuation will be offered depending on qualifications and experience.
