About the role

In this role, you'll join an Agile Scrum team responsible for building and working on applications within software products. The Software Developer will participate in all areas of development including design, coding and testing in collaboration with the team.

Role and Responsibilities:

• Develop and integrate software solutions in response to either identified defects or feature requests, whilst attaining the required quality factors and maintaining the integrity of the software requirements, software design, source code, unit tests and the support tools.
• Make informed decisions quickly and take ownership for the delivery of their tasks.
• Collaborate with Product Owners and other team members to help translate business needs into technical requirements and actions.
• Prepare technical documentation.
• Develop automated unit tests for applications according to company standards
• Undertake complex software development tasks without minimal supervision to deliver on commitments.
• Participation in peer and code reviews as required.
• Communicate with all members of the software team as required
• Actively applies the company’s Toolbox in all aspects of role
• Leads and/or participates in toolbox initiatives where appropriate with a particular focus on PLS as it applies to software development
• Actively seek and take advantage of internal training opportunities

 Experience and Skills Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or higher, preferably in Computer Science or Engineering related fields
• Knowledge of various Development Methodologies and Frameworks such as Agile and Scrum
• Source code development - preferably  Java, Visual C++, C#, SQL
• Ability to work autonomously and within a team to produce quality results to a defined schedule.
• Ability to communicate information clearly, both verbal and in written form.
• The right to work in Australia.

Good to have:

• Previous experience in developing Construction/Building industry
