Role’s Primary Purpose:
You'll collaborate with technical leaders and stakeholders on solution-level decisions and analysis of their impact on overall business goals and outcomes.
The Solutions Architect position is a hands-on technical position with a primary focus being effective translation of business requirements into technical solutions. You must love technology to get hand on if required but your strength must be conversing with business and converting the business requirements to technical solution.
Moreover, we are looking for someone who can not only design the solution but someone who can hand guide the team on how to implement the designed solution. If you are someone who can design but not guide the team about how to implement the solution then this is not the right role for you.
Breaking the role’s Primary Purpose / responsibilities further, you will be accountable for the following:
1. Product Management
Define and develop technology solutions, plans, roadmaps and timelines to assist the business in meeting their objectives.
Provide guidance to the development teams on technical aspects of system development and integration (including requests for changes, deviations from specifications, etc.) and ensures that relevant technical strategies, policies, standards and practices are applied correctly.
Understands customer's requirements, current/future IT infrastructure, application framework, business opportunities and vision to guide the architecture; owns the architecture and works with development staff on project/feature implementation
Assists in problem solving, resolving design disputes, and making tradeoffs
Creates a vision and plan for evolutionary paths and development roadmaps; plans for new technology insertions
3. Product Development Management
Participate in Agile ceremonies such as Sprint Planning, Retrospectives and Backlog Grooming to effectively communicate with team members and stakeholders
Serve as a subject matter expert for architectural frameworks, methods and tools; educates software development staff in architecture disciplines and assists in their application
Participate in peer review sessions of solutions and related code, ensure software quality throughout the complete SDLC
Relationships with the software support and product management team members to ensure quality outcomes.
Qualifications, skills & experience:
Experience with legacy systems and complex technical environments using multiple technologies and languages.
Proven experience establishing and maintaining architectural standards and principles
Experience designing and implementing service-oriented and evolutionary architectures
Strong understanding of Agile/Lean development methodologies
Solid foundation of architecture models, database platforms and modern infrastructure topologies
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to communicate at a technical, business, or executive level
Ability to understand business objectives and translate into architectural deliverables
Thorough knowledge of data, infrastructure and programming concepts
Experience in multi-platform infrastructure distributed environments
Advanced problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively with other departments to achieve complex business needs
Bachelor’s degree or higher, preferably in Computer Science or Engineering related fields.
Few years of experience as a Senior Software Developer, atleast 2-4+ years’ experience designing whole solutions or sets of related solutions
Ability to adapt to other working styles, organize, lead, and influence others
Ability to adapt in a dynamic work environment
Ability to work individually or in a team environment
Strong conceptual, analytical and decision-making skills
Exceptional interpersonal skills with a proven ability to build productive cross-departmental relationships and motivate team members
Well-versed in object-oriented and functional design paradigms
Source code analysis and development tools used in the Windows environment; i.e. Visual C++, C#, VB.net, VB6, Fortran, MFC, Bamboo, GIT, Install Shield, OOA/D, SQL, and Win 32 GUI.
Ability to be flexible and adaptable in a changing environment.

Good to have:
Strong understanding of ALM/Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment tools and technologies
Strong understanding of Construction/Building industry
