The Sales Account Manager will also build strategy and implement tactics to produce revenue, optimize relationships with current partners, meet and exceed annual targets, and build strong client-direct relationships through exceptional customer service, integrity and professionalism.
What will you do?
• Prospect and capture new relationships within Australia
• Determine lead generation strategy to help maintain pipeline of new business
• Lead negotiations for all Australian strategic partnerships and land partnerships that deliver on KPIs
• Measure the business impact of new partnerships and initiatives and be able to pivot strategy as needed
• Work with leadership to identify target industries and companies
• Optimize current relationships, ensuring that the organisation gets the best ROI with all relationships
• Complete proposals and help negotiate commission rates and/or flat fees for programs
• Drive increased efficiency of team by serving as liaison with interdepartmental teams including Editorial and Finance
• Manage respective affiliate network/merchant information, including keeping track of any program changes, and any other account management items
• Manage/assist colleagues and other departments as assigned or as needed
• Respond effectively to sensitive inquiries or concerns
• Travel to conduct scheduled and non-scheduled meetings, conferences and training
Skill / Experience Requirements:
• Proven track record achieving sales goals and managing advertising sales opportunities from prospect to signing
• 7+ years in consumer marketing and/or business development specific to omni-channel business models
• Existing relationships with many top advertisers
• Experience creating complex, targeted, and customized advertising proposals for large customers and agencies (experience within the luxury sector is a plus)
• Proficiency with affiliate network platforms
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Ability to resolve merchant complaints and concerns
• Excellent time management skills and the ability to work efficiently under tight deadlines
• Ability to work both independently and in a team-oriented environment
• Microsoft Office and internet proficiency a must
• College Degree or equivalent experience required in related field (affiliate marketing, business development, etc.
