Our client is a start up IT consulting and Advisory providing consulting and solutions across cloud, application rollout, IT transformation, and IT advisory to small to medium organisations.
About the role
You shall be a part of a start up team of 3 at this moment that would be expanded to around 6 in about 1-2 years time. We are looking for a dynamic young person whom has immense interest in IT, is a self-starter and wants to learn and grow.
The MD in the business are looking for someone whom the seniors can mentor and grow but still someone who has a strong sense of self learning, capability building and problem solving.
Role and Responsibilities:
This is a consulting role. The company does not provide IT support thus you will not be answering calls on a service desk in this role. The company provides consulting services to companies thus you many be working directly at the client site tasked with implementing the projects in consultation with the client and guidance from the seniors.
The nature of expects to work across all of these areas:
Willing to take on all sorts of challenges, chasing the broad experience of a Level 1/Level 2/Level 3 role, with some account management
Broad experience in traditional Microsoft technology e.g.
Windows 7/8/10
Windows Server 2012/2012R2/2016/2019 + server roles/apps such as File, Print, DHCP, DNS, RDS
Exchange Servers, SQL Servers, SharePoint Servers
Broad experience in Microsoft 365 and Azure e.g.
Azure AD and Azure AD DS
Exchange Online
SharePoint Online and Microsoft Teams
Endpoint Manager (Intune)
Azure Virtual Machines
Azure / Windows Virtual Desktop
Storage Containers, Networks etc.
IT transformation projects e.g.
Software rollouts such as CRM implementation
User access discovery and implementation
Configuring software inline with client’s requirements
Strong information-seeking skills and ability to learn and discover using best-practices
Passionate about driving outcomes for customers and seeing through a project or task
Experience and Skills Requirements:
Previous 1 – 4 years exposure in building and deploying servers (from ESX onwards), cloud infrastructure, cloud servers, databases, website development, L2 IT support, scripting, etc
Excellent written and verbal communication
Previous exposure of working in sales (IT or electronics) during or after University dates shall be highly regarded
Ability to manage multiple stakeholders in a fast-paced environment
Strong analytical skills
Broad understanding of technology concepts and themes across applications, infrastructure, cloud, cyber security, digital transformation, IT services, data and telephony
Strong network and relationships with industry professionals (preferable)
Experience with agile/scrum and waterfall development methodologies (desirable)
Experience within an IT service provider (desirable)
Experience with CRM and database systems (desirable)
Experience and strong interest in Powershell or automation (desireable)
