Role’s Primary Purpose:
You will be the driving force behind software product innovation from in-depth product understanding and feature development, taking full responsibility from inception through to delivering solutions to market by:
Interacting and collaborating directly with customers and key decision-makers, assisting with business development initiatives, gathering requirements, and formulating strategies for the building of products that meet a genuine need of our ANZ customers, with a strong focus on our 80’s profitable features/customers
Clearly communicating product vision and roadmap, benefits, progress, and results, to a wide range of audiences both internal and external
Working with the development teams to ensure solutions are being developed and delivered on time alongside realising the vision, roadmap and the customer value it was intended to, whilst maintaining technical integrity
Breaking the role’s Primary Purpose / responsibilities further, you will be accountable for the following:
1. Product Management
Interacting and collaborating directly with our customers and key decision-makers, assisting with business development initiatives, gathering requirements, and formulating strategies for the building of products that meet a genuine need of our ANZ customers, with a strong focus on our 80’s customers
Identify customers’ behaviours and needs through market research and analysis
Engage with key Offsite ANZ stakeholders to also gather insights, requirements, and share product goals to provide input into the product roadmap planning process and throughout the product lifecycle
Take full ownership of the product, the prioritisation of new features and enhancement to existing features in line with the strategy set by Offsite Leadership team, and the product roadmap
Work closely with other Product Owners to ensure the shared customer experience vision is maintained, channel performance and satisfaction is continually monitored and that customer experience is kept at the forefront of all decisions
2. Client & Stakeholder Management
As key decision maker, be the voice of the user on product features, communicating the value behind each product and prioritisation decision
Provide regular status updates on product development and sprint progress, and results to key stakeholders
Implement feedback loop, resolving and responding to product questions from Offsite ANZ stakeholders
3. Product Roadmap & Development Management
Capture user requirements and work with the development teams to identify product scope, and create clear, actionable user-stories, and acceptance criteria where required
Own, refine, and prioritise the product backlog
Ensure the development team understand the product backlog and business value to successfully deliver each sprint / increment / initiative
Actively participate in scrum ceremonies & apply learnings
Define, monitor, and analyse KPIs and other metrics for live products and feed lessons learned back into product development process
Keep abreast with Agile/Scrum best practices and new trends
4. Product Enablement
Understand and actively utilize Tools to remove complexity from the business and focus efforts on the 80’s profitable product features
Actively participate in Divisional/Segment based toolbox projects to increase practical application knowledge of the toolbox
Identify and build expertise within the team
Qualifications, skills & experience:
Demonstrated ability to think and act strategically to position a business to win
Experience in gathering and prioritising unbiased customer insights to identify and understand issues, problems and opportunities
Strong commercial and analytical skills combined with the ability to make sensible and timely decisions
Related experience and certifications, and an interest and ability to excel in the job responsibilities
Ability to quickly learn new domains (people, software, business), and translate them for others
Ability to work in a collaborative & agile environment, balancing a large workload & prioritising effectively
Data driven, customer focused, proactive, creative, and innovative
Open for input and feedback, while being able to influence people being challenged by change
Strong verbal and written communication skills. Able to forge strong bonds with key stakeholders (and influence them) and speak at different levels of technical understanding
Self-motivated, energetic & can work both autonomously & as part of the team
Ability to be flexible and adaptable in a changing environment, demonstrating a strong consultative approach and manner
Highly desirable:
Strong understanding of Construction/Building industry
