The Level 3 System Administrator will act as the primary escalation point for the Service Desk function of the Technical Services practice. They will primarily work on all levels of service desk requests whilst aiding the project team when required.
Responsibilities:
Assists in developing standard operating procedures ensuring a consistent and optimum level of performance for the junior systems administrators
Provides new perspective to solve complex problems and works independently with minimal guidance.
Administrative support for complex infrastructure and cloud-based products
Coaches and inspires the junior systems administrators
Recommends and follow IT best practice polices and procedures
Primary escalation point for service desk issues that are not able to be resolved by the Level1/2 Systems Administrators
Identify risks and opportunities arising from, or affected by, infrastructure configuration
Professionally and courteously answering inbound requests via phone, email or in person from customers and handling queries in accordance with established protocols.
Working within an ITIL framework for service delivery, including ticket triage and assigning ticket severity, impact, and customer-specific ticket details.
Ensuring that client documentation is kept up-to-date and documentation is followed.
Keeping meticulous and clear records of time spent on all activities and records.
Maintain and obtain professional certifications to align with business objectives.
Keeping up to date with the latest technology trends.
Requirements:
Industry recognised certifications (Msoft / CISCO / VMware)
Highly developed skills with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint) as well as online email and website platforms
Previous experience in providing high levels of client service and support required
Strong attention to detail and enthusiasm to learn
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to deal confidently with clients, suppliers and staff at all levels
Highly methodical and organised approach to work
Demonstrated ability to remain self-motivated and productive when working autonomously
